The tool is a telescoping measuring stick of sort (with a high and low range, between two marks ). The problem in making a tool, is that it is regulated by the spring pressure inside the tellescoping tool.
I am a machinist and started out to make a tool for my self. I made a scetch with measurements and even determined the spring pressure. The dealer wanted $35+tax to order one for me.
